tYhle and col.: Scapes of Landscape

About program
More than a face. Beneath its surface, the landscape reveals itself. Surfing on cerebral cortex folds. In a gracious way, a discovery of new worlds emerges. Escaping the scope of inanimate matter, living mass undertakes experimentation. What happens when a mask unmasks, when a landscape escapes its scope and reveals its underlying, lunar face?
In the project Scapes of Landscape, the artists explore the coexistence, proximity and difference of different living forms. The group embraces a collective creative process merging individual creative desires and roles into a common thread of poetic narration. They collaboratively created masks and environments that reflect the richness of different qualities and diverse appearances of imaginary creatures.

tYhle
are an international collective of artists who combine performance art, dance, physical theatre, clowning and other types of art in their work. They focus on experimenting with imagination, everydayness, humour, identity and society. The letter Y symbolises a crossroads, a place where we can meet together, make decisions and move on. It represents the intersection of various inspirations, views, opinions and ideas in which we create.
The tYhle collective was founded in Brno in 2015 by performers Lukáš Karásek and Florent Golfier-Brechmann. They were then joined by lighting designer Zuzana Režná and stage designer and choreographer Marie Gourdain. Since 2024, dramaturg Jakub Liška has been a member of the collective. Currently, the members of tYhle are active in the Czech Republic, France and Austria.
