THE FINAL KILOMETRE TO OPENING IS AHEAD. WILL YOU RUN IT WITH US?

HELP US GET OVER THE FINISH LINE — SUPPORT US THROUGH OUR DONIO FUNDRAISER.After three years of transforming an old brewery into a cultural centre, ALTA is finally close to opening its doors. The space is almost finished, our program is set, we’ve booked artists from the Czech Republic and abroad, and we’ve established collaborations with ensembles, associations, and other organizations — we just need to complete the final adjustments and secure approval. We are raising funds to bridge the gap between opening to the public and completing the reconstruction.

CRYING CLUB

Grieving, crying and empathy in contemporary performance. This series of performative experiences, lectures and discussions presents grief or crying not as a private emotion, but as a radical experience that transforms our relationships, our bodies and our visions of the future.

Eva Priečková: I want to keep my grief warm

A lecture/performance on sharing resources related to death and grief. Grief has become a fascination of mine, and as Francis Weller suggests, I would rather keep it warm so that it can move than let it become a sediment in my soul. Program is in English.

Eva Priečková, Zuzana Žabková: Crying Girls

The “crying girl” stereotype often evokes hypersensitivity or emotional overload, yet crying can also be an act of power, vulnerability, radical honesty, or release after an emotional peak. Crying Girls embodies this through women in their late thirties who are reliving their girlhood in bodies subject to decay, while referencing the uncompromising spirit of Thelma and Louise.
